D. Rakshit & Associates is an independent advisory practice led by Debabrata Rakshit, a senior administrator and compliance professional with 15+ years in healthcare leadership and 35 years in banking. He has headed hospital administration as well as legal, compliance, and grievance functions in large multi-speciality and super-speciality hospitals, and has worked closely with clinicians, administrators, and external advocates to ensure that institutional actions and written submissions are clinically accurate, legally defensible, and regulator-ready.
With a deep understanding of risk management, governance, and documentation discipline, the practice supports institutions and individuals with real-world advisory—especially when situations involve complaints, audits, regulatory queries, litigation exposure, or complex paperwork that must hold up under scrutiny.
From January 2011 to March 2025, Debabrata Rakshit served as Head–Administration and Head–Legal & Compliance at Narayana Multispeciality Hospital (approximately 150–160 beds) and Narayana Superspeciality Hospital (431 beds).
In these roles, he worked closely with clinicians, administrators, and external advocates to manage medico-legal risk, consumer litigation, grievance resolution, and statutory compliance. A core strength of his work is bridging the common gap between clinical reality and legal/regulatory expectations—by coordinating with doctors, analysing medical records, and preparing clinically accurate, legally sustainable written submissions for consumer forums, statutory authorities, and regulatory bodies.
Institutional Capacity Building: Established West Bank School of Nursing (GNM) in 2012 and West Bank College of Nursing (BSc) in 2020, with plans for an MSc programme.
Before healthcare, Debabrata Rakshit spent 35 years with Syndicate Bank (now Canara Bank) from 1976 to 2010, including roles as Branch Manager across multiple branches. This foundation sharpened his expertise in banking operations, compliance, risk controls, customer grievance handling, documentation standards, and dispute management.
We believe integrated advisory support—spanning grievance handling, medico-legal risk management, regulatory liaison, documentation governance, and inspection readiness—can materially reduce litigation and regulatory exposure, strengthen institutional stability, and allow leadership teams to focus on core outcomes.
